Instead of opening multiple tools and stitching together a workflow step by step, creators describe what they want—and the system handles the orchestration across apps like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Lightroom, and Adobe Illustrator.
It’s not just another AI tool bolted onto the side. The idea here leans into something broader—agentic creativity, where the user sets direction and intent, and the system executes multi-step processes behind the scenes. That includes everything from generating visuals and editing footage to refining audio and preparing content for distribution. The assistant operates inside Adobe Firefly, which is increasingly positioned as a kind of central hub rather than just a generative tool.
The interesting part is how this reframes control. Instead of removing it, Adobe is emphasizing that creators remain in charge—stepping in, adjusting, redirecting. The assistant asks questions, surfaces decisions, and adapts to preferences over time. On the image side, tools like Precision Flow and AI Markup introduce a more tactile way of working with AI—sliders, brushes, and visual guidance instead of just prompts. It’s almost like Adobe is trying to reconcile two worlds: generative automation and hands-on craftsmanship.
Then there’s the model layer. Firefly now integrates over 30 AI models, including external ones, giving creators a kind of modular AI stack rather than a single locked-in system.
