The Square Under the Sun
A medieval stone façade rises behind the crowd, crenellations cut sharp against the blue sky. Tourists drift through in shorts and sun hats. A man in a dark jacket stands mid-interview, papers in hand, while a camera crew works the shot a few feet away. A media van sits parked just off frame. Old stone, a press conference, a summer crowd, all inside the same fifty feet.

Under the Stone Arch
An old Gothic porch opens onto the square, weathered pillars framing a stone cross with the colorful houses behind it. A small group talks quietly under the arch. Others just pass through on their way somewhere else. People have been walking through this doorway for centuries. Today it’s just foot traffic.

Evening on the Promenade
The light is low and gold. Young women in summer clothes walk with the easy pace of people who know they look good. A man in a white tank top passes at the same unhurried speed. Palm trees line the walkway, the city glowing behind them. Nobody’s rushing. It’s that kind of evening.

Above the Grass
Under a heavy sky, the towers of the cathedral complex rise in brick and copper-green, domes and spires stacked against the clouds. In the foreground sits a detailed scale model of the same buildings, set right at eye level for visitors. People cross the open lawn between the two versions: the real one overhead, the miniature one at their feet.

Armor Behind Glass
Full suits of samurai armor stand in a row behind the glass, lacquer and silk and metal all catching the museum light. Helmets topped with crests, breastplates built up in layered plates, cords and tassels that still hold their color after hundreds of years. Nobody’s wearing them anymore. They just sit there, put together with more care than most things get built with today.
