The week running July 26 through August 1 came in close to flat across the network. Sixty-five active sites produced 15,630 visits and 16,130 page views, down 3.58% and 4.1% respectively against the prior week. Median page load time across everything sat at 3,252ms, up 1.26%. Nothing in the aggregate suggests a systemic problem. The useful signals are one layer down, in the per-site numbers and the Core Web Vitals.

The one number that matters this week
Largest Contentful Paint on technologies.org went to 4,252ms at the 75th percentile, a jump of 431.5% in a single week. That is squarely in Google’s “poor” band, which starts at 4,000ms. Visits on the same site fell 31.76%.
The two are almost certainly not cause and effect inside one week. Ranking damage from a Core Web Vitals regression shows up on a lag, not on a Monday. But a five-fold LCP increase is never ambient noise. On a WordPress property it usually traces to something specific and recent: a plugin update, a hero image shipped without width and height attributes, a font or third-party script newly loaded in the header, or a caching layer that quietly stopped working. Cumulative Layout Shift on the same site actually improved, down 25.84% to 0.15, which points away from a wholesale template change and toward a single heavy asset.
The fix is diagnostic before it is technical. Find what changed on that site around July 26.
analysis.org is getting faster while getting quieter
Visits to analysis.org fell 20.25%, but the performance numbers moved hard in the right direction. LCP came down 37.09% to 2,816ms. CLS came down 40.61% to 0.21. Interaction to Next Paint sits at 56ms, comfortably good.
Both of those are real improvements from real changes. Both are also unfinished. CLS at 0.21 is still more than double the 0.1 threshold for a passing grade, and the site’s median page load of 4,831ms remains the worst of the three properties reporting full metrics, even after a 31.63% improvement. The remaining work is on the same site that already responded to the last round of it.
osint.org is the healthiest site on the list
osint.org is up 25.42% on visits, up 24.66% on page views, and carries an LCP of 2,135ms that clears the 2,500ms “good” threshold. Median page load rose 66.03% to 3,656ms, which looks alarming next to the growth, but LCP is the metric search actually scores. CLS improved 37.26% to 0.13. This is a site with momentum and no structural performance debt.
Half the traffic on the top two sites is not human
The browser breakdown is worth reading carefully. On analysis.org, 720 of roughly 1,300 visits are logged as Unknown, against 390 from Chrome and 50 from Mobile Safari. On technologies.org it is 520 Unknown against 610 Chrome. Unknown at that share is crawler and bot traffic, not readers.
Two consequences follow. Actual human traffic on both properties is meaningfully lower than the headline. And week-over-week swings on those sites partly reflect crawler scheduling rather than audience behaviour, which means a 20% or 30% move needs to be checked against the Chrome and Mobile Safari subtotals before anyone treats it as a trend.
Seven of the top ten sites are reporting no performance data at all
Sites four through ten return no page load time and no Core Web Vitals. Not poor numbers, no numbers. Visits are being counted at the edge, but nothing is being measured client side, which is the signature of a missing analytics beacon script in the site templates.
marketanalysis.com, pho.tography.org, transportational.com, opinion.org, mediapresser.com, appcoding.com and technologyconference.com are all running blind on performance. That covers 3,760 visits a week, roughly a quarter of network traffic, with no LCP, no CLS and no INP behind it. On Hugo properties this is one snippet added to the base template.
Movers
On the upside: appcoding.com up 91.3%, mediapresser.com up 66.67%, marketanalysis.com up 64.44%. The first two are recent builds, and growth at that rate on a new property is indexing catching up with published content rather than anything to do with demand.
On the downside, past the technologies.org drop already covered: pho.tography.org down 30.34% and transportational.com down 24.29%. Those two moved far enough to warrant a look at what dropped out of the index or off page one.
Priority order for the coming week is short. Find the technologies.org regression. Install the beacon on the seven blind properties. Finish the CLS work on analysis.org.
